Track Your Investments Without the Guesswork

Markets move fast. Your understanding shouldn't lag behind. We built Moralexion because most investors check their portfolios but rarely understand what's actually happening with their money. Real clarity starts when you can see patterns, not just numbers.

How We Got Here

Started with a frustration. Built something better. Still learning every day.

2021

The Beginning

Three portfolio managers in Halifax kept seeing the same problem. Clients had data but couldn't connect it to actual decisions. So we started sketching what monitoring could look like if it actually helped people think, not just look.

2022

First Real Users

Launched with seventeen investors who agreed to tell us exactly what confused them. Their feedback changed everything. Turns out complexity doesn't impress anyone when they're trying to understand where their retirement savings went last quarter.

2024

Expanding the Team

Brought on specialists who actually work with Canadian tax considerations and RRSP strategies. Because generic investment tracking falls apart when you're dealing with contribution limits and withholding tax rules that matter to real people here.

2025 and Forward

What We're Building Now

Working on better integration with the platforms Canadians actually use. And figuring out how to explain market movements in ways that don't require a finance degree. It's harder than it sounds, but that's the whole point.

Portfolio Visibility

See your holdings across accounts in one place. Not revolutionary, just practical. Consolidates what's scattered so you can actually compare and understand your total picture.

Performance Context

Returns mean nothing without context. We show how your investments moved relative to benchmarks and your own goals. Sometimes you're doing better than you think.

Tax Considerations

Canadian accounts have specific rules. TFSA gains, RRSP contributions, capital gains tracking. We handle the details that matter when April rolls around.

Detailed financial charts and investment allocation graphs

Allocation Monitoring

Your portfolio drifts over time. Winning positions grow, losing ones shrink. We track how your actual allocation compares to what you intended, so rebalancing decisions become obvious instead of stressful.

Cost Awareness

Fees compound just like returns. MERs, trading costs, advisor fees. We calculate what you're actually paying annually. Not to shame anyone, but because you deserve to know where your money goes.

Financial cost breakdown and expense analysis visualization

Historical Tracking

Your investment history tells a story. We keep records so you can see patterns in your own behavior and learn from past decisions without relying on memory.

The Core Challenge Most Investors Face

You check your account. Numbers went up or down. But why? What actually caused the change? Which holdings helped or hurt? Without understanding the cause, you can't make better decisions next time. And that's where most monitoring tools stop. They show results but skip the explanation entirely.

What Changes When You Have Context

Suddenly the numbers connect to actual events. Market drops make sense when you see sector performance. Your tech stocks fell because tech fell broadly, not because you picked wrong. Or maybe they fell more than the sector, which tells you something different. Context turns panic into information.

Where This Takes You

Better questions. Instead of "should I sell?" you're asking "does this still fit my strategy?" You start seeing patterns in your own reactions to market moves. And that awareness matters more than any single investment decision.

What People Actually Say

Professional workspace with financial documents and investment reports

Used to avoid looking at my investments because the platforms stressed me out with information I couldn't use. This actually explains what changed and why. Still not exciting, but at least I understand what I'm looking at now.

The tax reporting saved me hours. And the allocation tracking caught a problem I didn't know I had. My bonds had dropped to twelve percent when I wanted twenty. Simple fix once I knew about it, but I'd been flying blind for months.
